Week 1: Task no. 10
One of this week’s tasks was to take my artist on a simple 20 minute walk.  I love to walk around my village; it always captivates me. It’s tiny, rural, and right near the ocean.

Within ten minutes of my house, I can sit on coastal cliffs staring out of the tranquil, overwhelmingly endless ocean.  As I meander, I get to see huge hydrangea plants, exotic bird-of-paradise flowers, charming brightly colored daisies. Local fields have adorable calves and baby goats. Rust peels off intricate metalwork gates of abandoned houses. Delicious smells of meals and baked goods subtly hang in the air.

On each outing, I do my best to stay in the moment—appreciating the sights and sounds around me.  As intended by the task, I returned home, entirely content.
