2010: fashionably questionable

Artist Statement:

The initial images used for this series were fashion-themed stock photography. I like to use stock photography for the simple fact, it alleviates concerns regarding copyright infringement. I’ve always loved the beauty of the female form and have frequently used images of women in my work over the years.

Fashion trends and high fashion  intrigue me because they often combine alluring aesthetic interest and appeal with the absurd and impractical–while additionally glorifying a singular and unattainable concept of acceptable beauty.
