2014: altered fairy tales

Artist Statement:

This altered book of classic fairy tales was created during my Art Journal 365 project of 2014.  I love using books as visual journals.  Since the pages are already filled, I don’t feel any intimidation from the seemingly endless series of blank pages.  The available text is fun to use as the pages develop.

She raised her voice…

Received in damaged condition.

But I am afraid of the future.

We mustn’t hide here.

You are dreaming.
