I missed a day. Somwhere in the past year, I clearly mislabeled a day, or maybe double labeled a day? I have no idea. To be completely honest, I lack the motivation to review my last twelve months of posts to find it. So I appreciate your understanding on that subject. Thanks. You're nice. I... Continue Reading →
I love the genuine nature of rural life on Terceira. My husband and I are driving, and then we find ourselves among a heard of cattle, slowly shuffling from one field to another. I find it amusing every time (which is usually at least once every month or so). They almost seem to know exactly... Continue Reading →
My husband loves to talk about how much he hates my little white dog. "She is the worst. We should though her in the trash. Did you hear that, Morris? Everyone hates you. You will never be Soup. I love Soupy, she is pretty. You are stupid, Morris." Luckily, Dr. Morris doesn't understand English yet,... Continue Reading →
We had been out of milk at my house for several days, which meant I was unable to enjoy my daily cup of coffee before work. However, yesterday, I finally remembered to buy milk (as did my husband, so now we have a stupid-amount of milk). That also meant that-Yay-I can enjoy my morning coffee... Continue Reading →

Sometimes, Freya will groom DocMo's ears with her teeny tiny cat tongue, and Dr. Morris just looks at me... Continue Reading →
Christmas Day is today-and as I mentioned in yesterday's post, we spent the day with goods friends. We enjoyed brunch with mimosas, exchanged gifts, and watched Batman & Robin. (You know, the movie that is definitively considered to be the worst in the franchise?) I am not sure how we decided that was the... Continue Reading →
The holiday season always makes me sentimental about my family, and friends (which isn't very unusual, I assume). When associated with the military and spend Christmas away from immediate family most years, I have found the definition of family tends to shift and expand in a beautiful way. For the last three years, we have... Continue Reading →
Work tends to slow down a bit with the holidays, but I still love my job and greatly appreciate my co-workers.
I spent several hours in my studio listening to a couple new albums my brother sent me for Christmas. I love that my brother shares music with me, I know it seems silly, but it means a lot to me. I am really enjoying these new bands. Hearts to my brother.
